How Vizon handles personal information

This Privacy Policy explains how Vizon collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Vizon mobile application, website, and related services. Effective date: March 21, 2026.

1. Scope

Vizon is an outdoor advertising marketplace that connects advertisers, vehicle owners, and billboard owners. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Vizon mobile app, related web pages, customer support interactions, and backend services used to operate the platform.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Vizon, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and identity information: name, email address, phone number, account role, business details, password credentials, and authentication identifiers.
  • Social sign-in data: information provided when you sign in with Google or Apple, such as your verified account identifier, email address, and basic profile details made available by those providers.
  • Profile and listing information: company name, advertiser profile details, vehicle registration data, billboard details, pricing, campaign settings, and other information you choose to submit through the app.
  • Uploaded content: profile photos, billboard photos, vehicle photos, campaign artwork, videos, and other media or files you upload.
  • Transaction data: payment references, order amounts, payout records, and status information associated with bookings, campaigns, and earnings.
  • Notification data: in-app notification records, push notification preferences, and device push tokens used to deliver alerts.
  • Usage and technical data: device type, app version, log data, crash or error information, and session-related technical information needed to operate and secure the app.
  • Location-related business data: campaign zones, billboard addresses, landmarks, and location coordinates if those are entered or attached to a listing.

3. How we use information

  • To create and manage user accounts and authenticate users.
  • To operate advertiser, vehicle owner, billboard owner, and admin workflows.
  • To process campaign submissions, bookings, approvals, and payout requests.
  • To store and display uploaded media and listing content.
  • To deliver transactional emails, OTP codes, service updates, and push notifications.
  • To provide customer support and respond to account or payment issues.
  • To detect fraud, misuse, abuse, unauthorized access, or policy violations.
  • To maintain app performance, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers and partners that help us operate Vizon, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend infrastructure.
  • Paystack for payment processing and payout-related services.
  • Google and Apple when you choose those sign-in methods.
  • Expo and related notification services to deliver push notifications.
  • Email delivery providers used to send transactional emails such as account and campaign updates.

We may also share information when required by law, to protect our users or platform, to enforce our Terms of Use, or in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.

5. Payments and payouts

Vizon uses third-party payment infrastructure to process campaign payments and certain payout flows. Payment card information is processed by the payment provider and is not stored directly by Vizon in the app codebase. Vizon may store related records such as payment references, transaction status, payout recipient information, and payout transfer codes for reconciliation, support, fraud prevention, and bookkeeping.

6. Device permissions and local storage

  • Camera access: used when you choose to capture vehicle, billboard, profile, or other media directly from your device camera.
  • Photo library access: used when you choose to upload existing images, videos, or campaign artwork from your device.
  • Push notification permission: used to send account, booking, campaign, payment, and approval alerts.
  • Local app storage: used for onboarding state and app/session-related experience improvements.

If you deny a permission, some parts of Vizon may not work as intended. You can adjust permissions in your device settings.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect the platform. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the role you hold on the platform.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information processed through Vizon. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for safeguarding their credentials and notifying us promptly if they suspect unauthorized account access.

9. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information we hold about you. You may also request that we update inaccurate account details. To make a request, contact us at support@vizon.app.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the page. Your continued use of Vizon after an update becomes effective means the updated policy will apply to your use of the service.
